here's a great website to waste away several minutes of your life:

http://www.foundmagazine.com/index.php?fuseaction=finds.home

it's scans of random notes/pics, etc that people have found.  grocery lists, wedding photos, weird stuff, normal stuff, funny stuff.  just be careful what you drop on the street...

Man of God

Forgotten Days

well, last year's ski trip held many more noteworthy experiences (aka "thrashing wrecks") than this year.  i had a totally sweet time with those i got to board with.  big ups to anleo and jackson for their awesome first-time snowboarding coolness.  both (that i know of) learned pretty much on their own and just made it happen...with much probably-terrible advice from us "experts".  i'll add a shout out to my boys graham and seth--much love for room two-one-eight!

overall and in hindsight it was an incredible trip.  but i have to be honest...i felt a little attacked by the enemy.  my attitude before the trip was kind of down and a little negative--i'm pretty busy at work and was hoping for a little rest.  i also kept losing things which was really frustrating...i mean, i'm pretty scatterbrained and lose things often, but not like this.  i did manage to bring the things other people wanted/needed, but there were things i thought i left at home that turned out to be buried in my bag (that just made me madder when i got home), and i lost my black toboggan--the one my mom gave me because i lost the first one i had bought only 3 weeks after getting it.  so then i bought a new one at the lodge, and then misplaced that one on the bus somehow (thanks for finding it stack).  and now i can't find my knife...the one i bought because i lost my other two.  you can see where this is going...straight to Frustrationville, population ONE.  oh, and i didn't mention that lately i've been having some minor health issues (asthma, etc.).  then add to all this, we get three people hurt in the first, like, hour...no one had gotten hurt on any of the other trips i had been on.  i guess my eyes were just opened to the efforts of satan to thwart my happiness and distract my view of the lord...he loves diverting my eyes from being fixed on jesus.

i should also note that i will, in fact, not be shouting out to david and jacob for their winterplace idol performance...i'll hold to my policy of strictly NOT encouraging that kind of behavior (just kidding, you guys were hot).  i do, however, know that it was worth it for them...i hope they know what i mean.

i also wish i had some sweet pictures to put on here, but i forgot my camera, too.  of course.

i'm a little slow...updating about the party from last friday only 5 days later.  ouch.  da berfday partay was oh-so-fun for me and hopefully all else whose bodies warmed the halls.  i'm thankful for my friends and those i met that night who are now my friends.  if i could remember your names, i would list them, but alas, you are not that good of a friend if i can't remember your name.  be patient, it only takes a few times, but i'll get it eventually and god will remind me not to be a jerk.  i'm very very thankful for the hendleys for letting me destroy their house with with my ragamuffin band of followers, and to caroline, who may as well be a hendley if she lives at their house.  several people helped in small ways like building fires in broken grills, making cakes, icing cakes, eating icing on cakes, going to get plates when i forgot them on the way, getting off-brand and (quite frankly) disturbing drinks to add to the bar, taking hundreds of candid photos, and looking beautiful as only they can (i'm speaking of everyone at this point).  i am not thankful for the disrespectful excessively forced spanking, but am thankful for the love behind each slap.  side note to the three musketeers:  you'll get yours.  other notables from the evening include drunken darth vader, awkward stares from george bush, DDR (which now stands for david-david-revolution), sandras awesome party mix, celebrity appearances (you know who you are), and general cuteness from cocoa the awkwardly male poodle (he's a labrador at heart, i know it).

i'll post pictures eventually.

oh, and i got some new clothes...i'm really excited because i'm bored with wearing my old ones.  face it:  deep down inside all of us is a 13 year old girl who loves to buy stuff for themselves.

ADDED 1/14:  i just saw Kong.  all i can say is, "wow."  one of the biggest movies i've ever...felt.  and she was perfect.
